So, where do I sign up?
When I graduated from college, people would always ask, "So, what do you want to do with that English degree? Teach?" Ha, yes, because teaching is the only thing you can do with an English degree. Students of the world should be glad I'm not an English teacher, because I would dock 15 points for every typo.
Also, on Sunday, TJ and I watched the premiere of Recount, HBO's made-for-TV drama about the Florida ballot mess during the 2000 presidential election (starring Kevin Spacey as former Gore chief of staff Ron Klain and Laura Dern as Cruella de Vil, I mean, Katherine Harris).
I didn't even know we got HBO, so that was a nice surprise. If you can call reliving the memories of the time you first learned about the horror of hanging chad and witnessed the nation go down in flames right before your very eyes a "nice surprise." It was like watching Dale get kicked off Top Chef all over again — in the end, you're left with the same feeling that you'd been swindled and the public was cheated, but there's nothing you can do about it.
And in case anyone was wondering, chad is the plural of chad.
