moose in headlights

James Fallows wrote the best analysis on Sarah Palin's interview with Charles Gibson last night. Click here to read.

I thought Fallows's take was fair and insightful, not to mention totally scary and frustrating, given the close state of the current national polling numbers. As Mencken said, "No one ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public."

In related news, Politico is reporting that Palin's doing her next interview (and I'm using that term loosely here) with Sean Hannity next week. I'm shocked.
