Since this might be our last October living on the central coast, we decided that we ought to take advantage of our chance to attend the Santa Barbara Harbor and Seafood Festival on Saturday.
It was really windy, so that was kind of annoying, but the food was fantastic. We had clam chowder from Brophy's, fish tacos, and fresh BBQed albacore. We also had some of Arne's ebelskiver, which I think was my favorite of the items we tasted and it isn't even seafood. I've been dreaming about it...just another reason I need (or don't need) to get the ebelskiver pan that I've been eyeing at Williams-Sonoma.

Do not get an Ebelskiver pan because I have one already. You can use it ANYTIME and it is willing to take extended leave from my place. You have to practice a few times and it isn't the whole "new and improved" model from WS but it works well.
Thanks, I'll be picking it up on Tuesday... ;)
Although I'll probably still get the thing from W-S eventually...other people collect dolls or stamps, I collect kitchen tools and appliances.
I get a thrill everytime I think about the new two-story W-S that is opening this fall at La Cumbre Plaza.
That last photo offended me. You advocate off-shore drilling? Shame on you!
On the reverse side, that albacore looks amazingly tasty.
yeah, you know me and my cheerleadin' for all things Palin.
(just in case someone thinks i'm being serious about that: no, i do not support offshore drilling, and "drill, baby, drill" = typical GOP strategy to let mindless, shallow slogans rather than viable solutions define the campaign.)
and yes, the albacore was way good. come to California and try some!
