When I woke up today I felt inspired to design a set of holiday gift tags to adorn my Christmas packages this year. About six hours into it I was kind of convinced that I was wasting my time because they would probably turn out horribly, but I'm actually really pleased with the result.
TJ says I should sell them, but I think I'll just give them away.
So: up for grabs is a set of 8 holiday gift tags printed on nice and heavy cream-colored paper. All you have to do is tell me about the best gift you've ever gotten for Christmas. Post your answer in the comments by next Sunday evening, and I will choose a random winner using random.org.
(My favorite gift? It's hard to say . . . but last year I got a really nice set of Gingher scissors from TJ's mom. Those things are amazing and I'm not sure how I ever functioned without them.)
Thanks for playing!

I SO want these tags but I have a feeling that randomness will never allow #1 to be selected so I am going to come back later to get another chance--that is fair, right?
So... best gift ever? Torn between my stand mixer (not a kitchenaid, it is a cooks brand which is a jcpenney brand and surprisingly really quality) and my ipod dock charger/speaker. Both from my MIL incidentally.
Wow, if I win those tags, people will never believe the attached gifts are from me! Have I mentioned I have not a single crafty bone in my body? That I was once kicked out of homemaking - that was back in the day obviously - because the other ladies felt my crappy project was an intentional misappropriation of crafting supplies? True story.
Hmm, my best gift...the electronic keyboard my parents gave me when I was 9. I had begged for one for many years, and had finally given up and was so shocked to find it under the tree I almost wet my pants. Once I got that baby out of the box, I spent many years playing it in front of my open bedroom window hoping to be "discovered" by some major producer who might happen to be walking down Maricopa Drive.
how was it done? i must know!
one year, rob got me a leather bound copy of christopher moore's "lamb." it looks like scriptures and is almost as valuable to me ;).
Best gift.....the year John got me my Nikon D50 camera. I gasped out loud.
I never get surprised by John, he's just not that sneaky and I have to practically shout my gifty needs to him, so I usually have a clue.
Awesomeness.
Love these tags. Very cute. Very holiday. Very Lorena.
Love it!
Merry Xmas!
Leesh
Hey Lauren!
You are so talented, the holiday tags are amazing. I would have to say my best Christmas gift would be my Rainbow Brite bike (I'm going back to the good 'ol days), I had many falls from learning to ride that bike and still have the scars, but some great memories as well!
best gift ever... hmmm. probably the time i told my boyfriend (now husband) a week before christmas that an engagement ring was not a legitimate christmas present so he better not be giving me that. needless to say it threw him off course and he ended up getting me an iphone - believing that with a present like that, there was no way i would say no when he did give me said ring. he was right. he calls it his "most expensive christmas."
but i love that it got me my phone. i LOVE my phone...
Today I got an early Christmas present. Two cavities filled. Although it may not sound very exciting, now I don't feel guilty for the dental bill. Merry Christmas, molars.
Did you giveaway already? I am waiting.
