what we did on our winter vacation

Spent three weeks watching five seasons of Lost, finishing just in time for the premiere of the sixth and final season next Tuesday. BRING IT ON.

Oh yeah—also spent a lot of time with family in Virginia; ate some really good BBQ in Memphis; made some Oreo truffles (hat tip: Rhettonica); read a couple of good books; sided with Coco; bought some fabric for a Dresden plate quilt that I will start but will surely never finish; reconsidered moving to Sweden upon hearing news of the Supreme Court's transformation of corporations into a real live boy.

Good times.

we're currently mid-way through season 2 of Lost. Hopefully we can catch up in time for the series finale.

I was waiting for your Coco post.

Did you know that in Sweden, you get 18 months months of maternity leave? And Paternity leave? Twelve. Twelve months. Daycare? Free.

Also, go team Coco!

@Mrs. Billen The fabric for the quilt arrived in the mail today. I am muy excited.

@Rhett Maurice Billen Do it, do it! Don't let that pesky sleep get in your way.

@krissiecook I <3 his farewell speech. "If you work really, really hard, and you're kind . . . amazing things will happen to you." That Coco is a classy guy (well, if you don't count the masturbating bear, Pimpbot 5000, or Preparation H Raymond).

@Gretta And all of this leave is PAID, even.
