Photoshop 101

So I'm taking a Photoshop class from city college on the side. It's pretty basic but a good refresher course (especially since I don't use Photoshop on a day-to-day basis anymore), and every now and then I'll come across something in the book that I didn't know about before (like new keyboard shortcuts! I love keyboard shortcuts).

I was thinking that maybe I'd post some of my homework assignments to liven up this blog a little (no cute small fry + not photogenic + news and politics + [don't travel anywhere interesting * don't take pictures when we do] = borrrring).

Just don't expect anything amazing. Most of the assignments are like, "make a collage of three photos and add two filter effects."

Here's the result of the first real assignment from Week 4. You're supposed to be able to show that you can make selections of variously-shaped objects. Naturally, I gravitated towards a food theme.
