who let the dog out

Here's the project from Week 6 of the city college Photoshop collection:

The task was to create a wanted poster from a collage of images, using a portrait of a person (or in this case, guilty-looking dog) as the background. I had to create a quick mask selection of the dog and save the selection as an alpha-channel mask, then invert the selection and apply an artistic filter to the rest of the image. I also had to show that I know how to use the Extract command, which explains the random sheriff badge in the corner.

As for the cash reward, the only numeric characters available in the typeface I used were 9 and 2...so I figured I'd max it out as much as possible in the space I had available.

ETA: It was hard to fight the urge to make a Dick Cheney poster with images of eagles and shotguns and the flames of hell simmering in the background.
