Low + Wilco = best show ever

Pitchfork says that Low is opening for Wilco during the North American leg of Wilco's world tour. Of course, none of these places are anywhere near California:

6/13 Davenport, IA - Adler Theater
6/15 Indianapolis, IN - Murat Theate
6/19 Atlanta, GA - Chastain Park Amphitheatre
6/20 Charlotte, NC - Ovens Auditorium
6/22 Red Bank, NJ - Count Basie Theater
6/24 Northampton, MA - The Pines
6/25 New York, NY - Hammerstein Ballroom
6/28 Boston, MA - Bank of America Pavilion
6/29 Shelburne, VT - The Green at Shelburne Museum

I think it's safe to say that Drums and Guns is the best new album I've listened to so far this year. I don't think I'll ever look at a chocolate cake the same way again.

And the worst album so far? Some Loud Thunder by Clap Your Hands Say Yeah. Right out of the gate, someone got the genius idea of muddling up what could've been a perfectly enjoyable pop song by drowning it in distortion. As for the rest of the album? Not all of the songs are bad. But for the most part, maybe they thought that if they covered everything up with noise and sound effects no one would notice how tired and stale it sounds. It definitely doesn't have the energy of the last one, but hey, at least we can count on the vocals on being as whiny as ever.
