No news day

Recent news stories I liked (aka not about Don Imus or Anna Nicole's baby):
  • In a social experiment devised by the Washington Post, musical virtuoso Joshua Bell goes incognito to play six classical masterpieces on a rare violin worth $3.5 million in a Metro station during morning rush hour. No one really notices.
  • Durian, a spiky fruit native to Southeast Asia also known for its abilities to hatch a Yoshi egg, has the kind of odor that one food writer describes as similar to "a bunch of dead cats." A Thai government scientist figures out a way to make it odorless by crossing 90 varieties of the fruit. Durian purists are not happy.
And that's pretty much it...
